Major milestone achieves as Pelican trials start

The trail suction hopper dredge, the Pelican, started work this month after arriving in Lakes Entrance at the end of February. The trial will determine whether this type of hopper dredge is the most appropriate for the conditions at Lakes Entrance and whether it will form part of the long term solution to keeping the Entrance open.
