 The storm that shook east Gippsland on the 22^nd & 23^rd of November deposited over 75mm of rain onto much of the eastern hinterland. When this rain reached the entrance more than 90,000 cubic meters of sand from the inner channels was washed out to sea. The channel across the bar was also deepened.
